– Private day trips focussing on organic champagne starting in Champagne (Reims, Epernay,Troyes):
It takes commitment and nerves of steel to farm organically in Champagne. That may be way only 8% of the total surface is under organic certification. The idea behind these day trips is to learn more about organic farming in Champagne by visiting two or three organic growers either in the Marne, Aube or Aisne (Champagne’s three main departments). Depending on your preference we can also have a look at biodynamic and regenerative farming. Trips will take 6 to 8 hours depending on the area visited. Groups of minimum 2 people and maximum 6 people, starting from €400 per person. Half day trips are also possible on request.
A unique lunch experience can be added – pricing will vary depending the restaurant/place chosen and area visited.
For a more in-depth experience, the trip can be extended so multiple areas and producers can be visited. I can help with accommodation and dinner reservations. Special packages can be developed for longer trips.
– The London organic Champagne experience.
For our English champagne lovers, this unique experience will start early in the morning at St Pancreas station, where my good friend Denise Medrano, AKA the wine sleuth, will welcome you with a champagne breakfast to be enjoyed on your journey to Champagne. I will pick you up at Champagne-Ardennes, Epernay, Troyes or Chateau Thierry – depending on what area you would like to visit – for an organic champagne tour of your choice. Besides learning about organic and biodynamic champagne, we will visit two or three producers, before you board the train again for your return. The day will be long as the return trip including journey time to Champagne, will take between 14-16h. Groups of minimum 2 people and maximum six people, starting from €800 per person
If you prefer to spend several days in champagne, we can extend the trip to give you a more thorough and unique experience. We can make lodging and dinner recommendations. Unique lunch and/or dinner experiences are also possible. Pricing will depend on your your preferences.
